Terms of Service
Last updated 5 August 2026.
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and OnceLoop (“OnceLoop,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By creating an account or using OnceLoop, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use the service.
What OnceLoop does
OnceLoop turns a recording you provide into written content: selected moments, social posts, and a newsletter draft. You give us a transcript or a media file, and we generate text from it using third-party AI models. OnceLoop is a tool, not a publisher, advisor, or agency.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding contract to use OnceLoop. By using it, you confirm you meet that requirement. OnceLoop is not directed at children.
Your account
You need an account to use OnceLoop. Keep your login details safe and don't share your account. You're responsible for everything that happens under it, and for keeping your contact email current so we can reach you about your subscription.
Plans, payment, and automatic renewal
The Free plan includes a set number of generations each month. The Founder plan is a paid subscription that includes a higher monthly limit. Prices and limits are shown at checkout. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your full card number.
Your subscription renews automatically. By subscribing to a paid plan, you authorize us (through Stripe) to charge your payment method the then-current fee at the start of each billing period until you cancel. We disclose the renewal terms at checkout and ask for your express agreement to them before charging you.
You can cancel anytime,the same way you signed up, from your account page in a few clicks. Cancellation stops future charges and takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you keep access until then. Because each generation costs us real money to produce, fees are non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise, or where something went wrong on our end, in which case email us and we'll make it right. If you're a California resident, you have the cancellation and refund rights provided by California's Automatic Renewal Law.
Your content, and the permission you give us
You keep ownership of the recordings, transcripts, and other material you submit (“Your Content”). To run the service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, copy, transmit, and process Your Content, and to create the transcripts, moments, posts, and newsletter drafts you ask for. This license extends to the third-party providers we use to run OnceLoop (such as our transcription and AI vendors), solely so they can perform their part of the service. It exists only to provide the service to you and ends when you delete the content or your account, except for backups kept briefly in the ordinary course. We do not sell Your Content, and we do not permit our providers to use it to train their models.
Your responsibilities and promises
You may only submit content you own or have all the rights and permissions to use. By submitting content, you represent and warrant that: (a) you own it or are authorized to use it and to grant us the license above; (b) it does not infringe anyone's copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, or other rights; (c) you obtained any consent required to record the people in it under the laws that apply to you; and (d) it is not unlawful, defamatory, or otherwise prohibited by the Acceptable Use section below. You are solely responsible for Your Content and for what you do with the output.
Acceptable use
Don't use OnceLoop to:
- process content you don't own or have permission to use;
- create anything illegal, infringing, defamatory, deceptive, or harassing;
- upload recordings of people made without a consent the law required;
- reverse-engineer, scrape, resell, or resell access to the service or its output;
- get around usage limits, or run up costs in bad faith;
- overload, disrupt, or probe the service or its infrastructure.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section, with or without notice for serious violations.
AI output: read before you publish
OnceLoop's output is generated by AI. It can be wrong, incomplete, or off-tone, and it may occasionally resemble existing material, so you are responsible for reviewing, editing, and fact-checking anything before you publish or rely on it. We do not guarantee the output is accurate, original, unique, or free of third-party rights, and it is not legal, financial, or professional advice. As between you and us, you own the output we generate for you to the extent we can grant it; note that under current U.S. law, material generated purely by AI without meaningful human authorship may not be eligible for copyright protection.
Our intellectual property
OnceLoop, including the software, prompts, design, and brand, belongs to us. These Terms don't give you any rights in it beyond using the service as intended.
Copyright complaints (DMCA)
We respect intellectual property and expect you to as well. If you believe content processed through OnceLoop infringes your copyright, send a notice with the details required by the DMCA (17 U.S.C. § 512) to our copyright agent at dmca@onceloop.com. We will respond, remove infringing material where appropriate, allow counter-notices, and terminate the accounts of repeat infringers.
Third-party services
OnceLoop relies on third parties (for example Stripe, and our hosting, transcription, and AI providers). We're not responsible for their outages or acts, and your use of the service may also be subject to their terms.
No warranties
ONCELOOP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We don't warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that the output will meet your needs. Some jurisdictions don't allow certain disclaimers, so parts of this may not apply to you.
Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ONCELOOP AND ITS OPERATORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR US $100. These limits don't apply to liability that can't be limited by law.
Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless OnceLoop and its operators from any claims, damages, and costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of Your Content, your use of the service, your violation of these Terms or the Acceptable Use section, or your violation of any law or third-party right.
Termination
You can stop using OnceLoop and cancel anytime. We may suspend or terminate your access for breach of these Terms, non-payment, or misuse. When your account ends, your license to use the service ends and we'll delete Your Content on a reasonable timeline. Sections that by their nature should survive (content ownership, disclaimers, liability limits, indemnity, and dispute terms) survive termination.
Disputes and governing law
Let's try to sort out any problem informally first, so email hello@onceloop.com before filing anything. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, and you and we agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in California. To the extent permitted by law, any dispute will be brought only in your individual capacity, and not as part of a class or representative action. Nothing here stops either of us from bringing a qualifying claim in small-claims court.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the product grows. If we make a material change we'll update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Continued use after a change means you accept it. Where the law requires it, we'll ask for your fresh consent before changing the paid or auto-renewal terms that apply to you.
The fine print
If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. These Terms are the entire agreement between you and us about the service. You may not transfer your rights under them; we may transfer ours (for example, in a sale of the business). Our not enforcing a term isn't a waiver of it. Neither of us is liable for delays caused by events outside our reasonable control.
